Highlights from the 2024 EFA Conference

SFCS attended Environments for Aging (EFA) 2024 conference in Atlanta, Georgia supporting colleagues and learning from thought leaders. SFCS' Amy Carpenter, who was awarded a 2023 Environments for Aging Design Champion, presented her SAGE post-occupancy evaluation of the Spires at Berry and Carie Shingleton discussed her role in conducting acoustical research with Garden Spot Village. Joe Jasmon, Alicia Nicolay, and Grant Warner presented a new model for middle-market Assisted Living and Memory Support, while Jay Weingarten, Andrey Teleguz, and Larry Graeve discussed AI in AEC. Addie Abushousheh, Gaius Nelson, and John Shoesmith presented proposed changes to the Facility Guidelines Institute's (FGI). The SFCS team plans to contribute further during the Public Comment Period opening July 1st.
