Our work at Bay Village has won first place!

January 11, 2024

SFCS is proud to announce that our work at Bay Village has won first place in the Renovation/ Repositioning (Building) category for the 2023 Senior Housing News Architecture& Design Awards!

We are truly honored, not only to win this award but also to have our strong partnership with Bay Village recognized.

“The entries for the 2023 SHN Architecture & Design Awards were nothing short of impressive,” said George Yedinak, founder and executive vice president of Aging Media Network, a WTWH Media Company. “This year, nearly 100 SHNA entrants pushed the envelope of innovative architecture and design across the continuum of care. They continue to raise the standard for what architecture and design should be across the behavioral health and post-acute care continuum.”

SFCS Managing Principal, Melissa Pritchard, said the project team was dedicated to making Bay Village’s vision come to life. “This project presented challenges to every discipline involved- architecture, engineering, and interior design. Incredible results were achieved through perseverance, dedication and creativity. The client says the residents are proud of the new added restaurant venues and the high-end design and are frequently “showing off” their new home to friends and family. When the residents are beaming, then we know we’ve succeeded, award-winning or not.”

The project team included the following SFCS team members, who we offer our recognition and CONGATRULATIONS to:
